greetings everyone!! =)

hope ur holidays have been fun & exciting ! for those who are away, do take good care of urself and treasure every moment u have with ur family & friends.

here's a SHORT sharing from me to u..hehe. up north trip after exams was awesome. pictures are up on facebook if ure interested. there are HEAPS - over a thousand pics i believe? lol. well personally, what i got from the trip and would like to share with y'all would be to listen to the gentle whisper of God (1 Ki 19:10-13). it's interesting how God revealed that chapter to me, which, if ure interested i would share with u personally but will leave that bit out for now. there were 46 of us altogether, and i believe many heard that whisper from God when we all went into an unexpected, unplanned and spontaneous session of pure worship to God in the open at night. that was awesome. but how did that happen? surely and undoubtly, it was His Presence that led us, but i also believe that it was because we were free from all other distractions (being away from the city-life & esp with no more stress for exams); with our souls quietened down; only then can we hear His voice. and it's the same for our own quiet time with God. u hear this from me again and again almost every week during cell that we need to seek Him for ourselves; set aside some time during the day for ur quiet time with our Heavenly Daddy - and we cant hear the gentle whisper from Him if we do not put aside some time just to hear His voice. now that it's holidays and everyone is free, i hope we wont waste our days away. like what i spoke to most of u at the church together event, make full use of ur time this summer break. be productive. feed ur spirit with the right stuff. now that we have all the time in the world to slack, maybe challenge urself to read the bible or pray maybe 5 minutes a day & gradually longer as ur conviction leads u. =)

"take life AND God seriously. because we only live once." cool eh? my own version le... hahaha

okie dokie, here's the plan...im yet to upload the cell appreciation video that i made for y'all. lol. i WILL get it posted by next week i promise cuz i wanna do some more editting still and am (surprise surprise) very busy at the moment. so yeaps, stay tuned! heh.

AWESOME night eh!!!! hope u all had fun!! Dessert was AWESOME huh! =P this family (no, im not ur mum or grandma or whatsoever k!) just keeps growing bigger and stronger and closer!!! - praise God for ALL of u & for all He's done in this cell !!
without having to sound too emo here, let's all stay connected regardless where we gonna be at for our year-end break or whichever cell we gonna be put in to next sem okie...let's all keep each other accountable...let's stay united and connected to this cell, to this wonderful zone and to this great church yay ! & hopefully, this blog will remain active even during the holidays!! =)

having said all these, do we find ourselves travelling on the same boat - of stress, studies, 24/7 ilects/computer screen/books/notes/projects.... :

(thought blondes are bimbo but apparently not in this case...hmm..H-A-H-A??)
ok. exams are just round the corner (NOOOO!!!!!) hope everyone's coping well with studies & stress & commitments etc etc. let's make every day of these 2 weeks productive and fruitful okie! (yeaps, all these apply to me as well - i need a bigger brain....extra memory capacity...intelligence level - well, we've all reached the highest of the highest so no worries abt tht right? ahah! )

as we study, let's keep reminding ourselves of these few points :

- pray for the peace from our Heavenly Father

- pray for wisdom and understanding from our God who is the source of all wisdom

- pray for focus that we will be able to concentrate well and not get distracted easily

- pray for the wisdom to keep our priorities right - making the most of our time & wise decision/plans

- pray for strength and good health

remember, regardless u've done well or bad throughout the semester, let's keep the past aside and focus on the present and future. stand firm, stay strong. God sees our hearts (our desire to shine for Him through our studies) so let's just do our personal BEST and surrender the rest into His hands.
(anyone needs a company to stay up and study - i'm so in for tht, anyone needs a company to go library and study - i'm in i'm in!, anyone needs to de-stress and talk crap - come and find the queen of "oh craps!" hehe)

that's right, guys. we've all dreaded it, we've all willed it not to come, but this fri is the last cell. the plan is to have cell first at:

yup, cell's starting earlier this week bcoz we're going to hyatt regency for buffet dinner after that, so if everyone is on time then we can all go off and make fuller use of the buffet, yes? anyway, hope u guys are alright this week, what with the mad rush for submissions, assignments, tests and the preparation for the finals. let's remember to keep each other in prayer since there's power in prayer, amen? Hello everybody!~ We had a nice weekend over at Rach and mich's place (without our very adorable cell leader ={ ).. Finger food was great huh? Haha... But this weekend will be better! Because our cell is going to Cottesloe Beach to watch the sunset! Everybody say WOOOOOO~~ Ok great. We will have a very romantic night there, eating desserts (no not the sand that's desert) and probably having the worship there. Romantic EY?

hey guys! search for a star has come and gone. i hope everyone enjoyed it! this week is curtin's 2nd study break. so good. hope you guys get your well deserved rest and catch up on things. this week's we're gonna have sandwich night! yes, you can personalize your own sandwich. put whatever you want on it, be creative with the fillings but here are some suggestions (please shout out what you wanna bring, if you have something else in mind, you can suggest too eg indomee sandwich? STUDY BREAK IS FINALLY HERE PEOPLE. sorry curtin ppl ahem, that means you, Letitia. nono i'm just kidding =P i hope all you awesome uwa people of Letitia's cell will get all the rest and fun we all need before we have to go back to uni to face midsems and more assignments. so since it's study break, we're gonna head on down to the multi-award winning pizza place, Little Caesars Pizzeria in Mundaring (roughly an hour's drive from Perth). the place is famous for their dessert pizzas. YUM! to get your salivary glands stimulated, here are some examples of dessert pizzas (taken from their website):

I know everyone must be disappointed that you don't have to exhaust your creative energy to think up delicious dishes to bring on friday but think of it this way, you can use that brain power in your assignments and tests that I'm sure most of us are facing this week. For those of you who have already had their tests and are in holiday mood, you can start brainstorming ideas for cell outings during midsem break =) but for the rest of us 'hardworking' people who still have tests and such, God bless and all the best. Ramchandra, born on the 6th of March 1999 is from India and he needs help. He lives in a community with his parents and 3 brothers and 1 sister, where 70% of the population live below the poverty line. Much of the land in the area is unsuitable for farming and many of his people are unskilled. General health health is poor and water and food are scarce so many of the people suffer disease. Children in the community have little or no education since they cannot afford it.

But all this can change...

Through World Vision, we can make a difference in his life and the life of the community by sponsoring him. We can do this by making a commitment as a cell group to contribute AUD$49 a month to provide nutrition and health programs for children, education and much more.

Be a part in being a blessing. And playing a part in changing a child's future for the better.

Matthew 25 verses 35 - 40:

35For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you brought Me together with yourselves and welcomed and entertained and lodged Me,

Hi everyone. How are you? How is everyone coping? Tests and assignments coming up? Don't worry, I have something for you guys. I read this and it's interesting. Haha, here it is.. (and no, it's not something lame that I came out k..)

Hey guys AND GIRLS! =P

Last week's cell was so awesome and it was only possible because of everyone so great job guys! As good as last week was, this week is so gonna be better!!! Just as the title reads, this week's theme is rainbow! Just as each colour of the rainbow comes together to form a beautiful natural phenomenon that brightens up the sky after a day of gloom and rain, each and every single one of us come together as one to form Christ's beautiful bride, His church! (Remember what we learnt last week during cell?) So let us come this week dressed up as a colour of the rainbow and brighten up each others' lives after a long week of uni and studying! Also, throughout the week we can be rainbows to other people. Take this as an opportunity to put our cell vision into action, step out! =)

So for this week's refreshments, everyone choose a colour and we shall dress and cook according to it! (BTW if you could post up the type of dish you're bringing, it would be greatly appreciated, thanks!)

Yes, people, this fri will be sushi night!!! we will be making the sushi together and you can come up with your own combination eg chicken sushi or with cucumber or egg or anything you want.

Here's a list of ingredients that all of us can chip in and bring on fri:

how's everybody doing? it's the 3rd week of uni already so i hope all of you guys are getting out of the holiday mood and into uni mode (tho i'm still trying to switch over =P) anyway... tis fri we were thinking of coming together and making finger food for sat service as a blessing to the whole uwa zone! after all, we are blessed to bless others, amen? so ya, all you awesome cooks and chefs out there, start posting up any suggestions you might have for this and let us all have fun cooking and making stuff together on fri as a cell! examples of finger food could be sushi, pastry, cupcakes or anything that doesn't require plates and cutlery so let's get thinking! Badminton anyone?

Hey guys! How has the week been? Anyway, friday's coming in a few hours and we can all meet up again for cell so hang in there! Also coming up is the 2008 Beijing Olympics!!! Instead of just lounging on the couch watching athletes play sport, why not join in the fun yourselves? Jeremy Low has booked 2 badminton courts at the recreation centre on Sunday from 6-7pm so whoever's interested, just give a shout out in the chat box or come tell me tml, okies? i'll c u guys tml. come excited! yooooo!!!!!!!!! okie, this is my first time blogging so hopefully it'll come out good ! hah.

yes, new cell, new blog, new semester of work, studies and neverending commitments...AND we are going to start afresh !! looking forward to working with all you cool, beautiful, lovely, amazing, magnificient, pretty (& *cough cough* good looking) bunch !! SO. it's gonna be a GREAT, FUN and EXCITING semester and we are all going to at least do something we've never done before this semester amen?! we will be doing and giving our personal best this semester! 1. we will be sponsoring a child as a cell this semester. more details from Jim when he gets it all settled. but why? because we are a generation who will BE the GOOD NEWS, we will share His abundant love that we already have with the needy, and putting what we've learnt into action. 2. cell directory !! whats it for? so all we cool people can stay connected! =) most of you have done it but we forgot to add in an important column = BIRTHDATES!! yeaps, pls get back to Rebekah regarding tht so we can all remind you of how YOUNG you are on that day. =p

3. anyone else going for CAM (Creative Arts Ministries) vision day? THIS sunday 1.10pm. very interesting workshop. it's Michael Battersby c'mon! ahah. if u love music, singing, being dramatic (uh-huh), dancing, anything to do with media...just come and i assure u that u will not leave that place "empty". dont miss out !! you could be the next Brooke Fraser!!! come and discover that talent in you!!! pls rsvp to me. yeaps yeaps yeaps!!
